Our wireless network expansion relies heavily on the help of others. While our wireless access points have a long range of coverage, we require our signal to be repeated where the signal is weak in order to "boost" the signal out to other locations.
In order to do this, we need to run small repeater boxes in other premises. When configured and positioned correctly, these small devices will not only improve the signal strength for customers in the area, it will allow us to expand the network outwards creating a bigger "cloud" of wireless coverage. This will eventually become large enough so our customers can access thier internet anywhere on the road in Dundee!
There are currently 2 options available to our customers:
- Purchase the repeaters from ourselves at £40. This will give you £5 per month credit to purchase internet services from ourselves. You can use this to obtain free wireless internet! This pays for itself in just 8 months!
- Successfully refer 3 or more customers to our service. You will be paid under our referrer scheme as usual for their signups, and we will also provide you with a free repeater box for you to receive your £5 per month credit.
The device required is the "Buffalo WHR-HP-G54" - No other device will work. If you can find this device cheaper on the market feel free to purchase it yourself - however we will need to modify it before use. This device consumes next to no electrical power - about as much as a light bulb!
